The Collectors’ Society discovered Xell, a mythical marvel of ancient Mech tech, after investigating a series of happy accidents. When Gus’s body armor remade itself after a terrible blow and that fatal laser blast “dodged” Maxine at the last second, Mark IV couldn’t believe his sensors. Nanobots were protecting them. Which meant… the legend of Xell was real!

Almost entirely composed of nanobots, Xell is a prototype-turned-folk hero in Mech culture. Legend has it that Xell’s ever-changing nanobots could form weaponry too devastating to unleash and thus no more models were created. Instead of violence, Xell dedicated their legion of nanobots to one core directive: protect.

The Xell hero coin, designed by Vincent Nguyen, is the third coin set in Season Two and the second Mech coin in the Eighth Era collection. The coin comes in three rarities: colorized (1/350), silvered (1/50), and gold-gilted (1/5).

Xell is a nimble defender who employs squad buffs, enemy debuffs, and attack redirection to keep your team out of harm’s way.

Diminutive Dispersion [Primary Skill]: Deal 100% damage to single enemy, with 20% chance to apply defense up to self for 1 turn. If Xell has defense up, apply defense up to a random ally other than self for 1 turn(s).

Replicating Nanobots [Charge Skill]: Apply defense up to a single ally for 2 turn(s), with 50% chance to apply regenerate to self for 2 turn(s).

Cluster Bots [Charge Skill]: Apply defense up for all allies for 1 turn, with 40% chance to apply attack down to each enemy for 1 turn and a 30% chance to apply unkillable to self for 1 turn.

Nano Storm [Superswap]: Deal 100% damage to all enemies and apply defense up to all allies for 2 turns and regenerate to self for 2 turns.

Nano-Armor [Passive]: When an ally affected by defense up takes damage, Xell takes 40% of that damage instead, and negates 10% altogether.

Unlock Xell via the in-game tournament menu starting June 17th. They’ll be available to unlock and rank up through July 13th.
